Simple examples: for a unit sitting north facing south, the An Cai Wei lies in the southwest and due north; for a unit sitting west facing east, the An Cai Wei lies in the due south, northwest, and southeast.

- Pi Xiu (the top auspicious beast for Pian Cai)
Legend says Pi Xiu has a mouth but no anus, swallowing gold and silver without letting any out, so it excels at absorbing external flowing windfalls. It is essential for investors and salespeople.
Placement rules: have the head tilt slightly toward the door or out the window to draw in outside wealth energy, but never face the entrance door head-on and clash with the door gods; place it no lower than waist height, and do not move or wipe it casually.

The San Zu Jin Chan holds a coin in its mouth. Placed in the Wealth Position with its head facing into the room, it can carry outside Pian Cai into the home. It suits people in trade, deal negotiation, and commission work, helping bring sudden large orders and sizable bonuses.

Crystals are translucent and gather energy. Citrine governs unexpected gains while clear quartz widens the paths of wealth. Placed in the An Cai Wei, they activate the flowing wealth star, sharpen investment judgment, and reduce losses.

Water governs flowing wealth, and a small silent flowing-water ornament can boost Pian Cai, but only in the An Cai Wei.
