Omikuji

Japanese Omikuji

A general omikuji framework with nine ranks and guidance for wishes, love, awaited people, health, money and more.

This tool generates reference results from a common Japanese omikuji framework. It does not represent one shrine or temple slip and offers no medical, legal, financial or life decision advice.

Nine Ranks

Common sets include daikichi, kichi, chukichi, shokichi, hankichi, suekichi, sue-shokichi, kyo and daikyo. Order varies by shrine and temple.

Slip Contents

Slips often pair an overall rank and verse with fields for wishes, awaited people, love, marriage, business, lost items, residence, travel, health, study and disputes.

How to Ask

After visiting, focus on one concrete question. Read the whole message first, then compare the fields most relevant to your concern.

After Drawing

You may keep a slip to reread or tie it at a designated shrine or temple place. Local instructions come first when either choice is unclear.
